Peter’s Journey: From Site Management to Site Engineering

Peter joined Engtec with extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in site management and leading teams. While he held GCSEs and A-Levels, he had no formal qualifications in engineering or higher education. Determined to take his career in a new direction, Peter enrolled onto the ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying, and it proved to be one of the best decisions he ever made.

While enrolled on the course, Peter began working a few days a week on live construction sites, shadowing experienced engineers and gradually taking on more technical responsibilities. The practical experience, paired with Engtec’s clear and supportive training approach, helped him quickly adapt to his new role and grow in both skill and confidence.

Since completing the course, Peter is now working full-time on site in Central London. His journey highlights how Engtec helps individuals at all stages of their careers transition into high-demand roles in the engineering surveying field.
