General Questions

Q: What is Engtec Solutions?

Engtec Solutions is a London-based training provider specialising in Engineering Surveying. We offer nationally-recognised qualifications delivered by working Site Engineers, combining flexible online learning with hands-on practical experience with the latest surveying equipment.

Q: What qualifications do you offer?

We currently offer the ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying and are in the process of delivering the Level 5 Diploma in Engineering Surveying. Both are designed to equip learners with the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the construction and civil engineering sectors.

Q: Do your courses lead to a CSCS card?

Yes. Our Level 3 Diploma meets the criteria for applying for a Gold CSCS Card for Site Engineers – a widely recognised industry requirement on UK construction sites.

Enrolment & Course Delivery

Q: When can I start the course?

Anytime! We offer flexible onboarding with a rolling intake, so you can start the course at a time that suits your schedule.

Q: How is the course delivered?

Our course is delivered through a blended learning model. You’ll complete online theory modules at your own pace, combined with in-person practical assessments using industry-standard surveying equipment like the Leica TS16 and GS18 GNSS Rover.

Q: Where do the practical sessions take place?

Practical assessments are conducted at our dedicated training space in Finsbury Park, London.

Q: Do I need any prior experience in engineering or construction?

Not necessarily. The Level 3 course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as for individuals with on-site experience who want to formalise their skills. The Level 5 Diploma, however, is intended for those already working in a relevant role, such as Assistant Engineers or Surveyors, with prior qualifications or experience.

We welcome school leavers, career changers, and construction professionals alike.

Eligibility & Requirements

Q: What are the entry requirements for the Level 3 Diploma?

To enrol on the course, learners must have achieved a GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics, recognised within the UK.

If you don’t currently hold these qualifications, don’t worry — we offer a simple pre-entry route. You can take English and Mathematics proficiency tests online. There is a £100 non-refundable pre-entry fee, which is deducted from your final course fee once enroled.

Q: Who can take the Level 5 Diploma?

The Level 5 is designed for practicing engineers or surveyors who already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying or can demonstrate equivalent industry experience. It is a work-based qualification, requiring live site experience.

Progression & Employment

Q: What happens after I complete the course?

Many of our learners go on to full-time employment as Site Engineers, often through our partner company Dextrick Service Providers, or with other construction firms.
The qualification also supports progression to higher-level study, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Engineering Surveying.

Q: Do you help learners find work experience or jobs?

Where possible, yes. We regularly help match learners with opportunities on real construction sites for work placements, and many of our learners have transitioned into paid roles during or shortly after the course.

Funding, Pricing & Support

Q: How much does the course cost?

Our Level 3 packages start from £1,700 for the Assessment Route up to £4,199 for the Full Course. We offer flexible payment plans to suit your situation—please visit our Course Details page for a full comparison.

Q: Is there funding available?

At present, our courses are privately funded. However, we are exploring apprenticeship routes and are happy to speak with employers about funding opportunities for staff training.

Q: What support do learners receive?

We provide ongoing tutor support, learner resources, and access to a user-friendly online learning platform. Our assessors are working professionals who offer real-world insights and guidance.
